Wildfire

This afternoon was a little crazy at work There was a hay fire down off Hunt Hwy and Higley just down the street from Payne Jr. High. The fire started this morning. By 11:00 transportation was on alert. District office had us on stand by just in case we needed to evacuate the school. Luckily we did not. But when afternoon routes started we were no allowed on Higley south of Santan Blvd. Or on Hunt Hwy west of Recker. So that meant we had students we could not take home. I had to get a list of students with phone numbers to the high school and elementary school so they could call parents. When the driver got to Payne this afternoon they were directed by the fire department how to enter and exit the area. What a mess, but thankfully no one was hurt and n one was stupid.
