Second Leg

Day 2 of our trip to Monterey. We started the day in Buellton about 4 miles east of Solvang. I slept on the top bunk in the motor home. Not a bad nights sleep. After we showered and dressed we drove into Solvang. They have RV parking in the east side of town.

We walked past a few bakeries to the Viking Restaurant to have ableskiver for breakfast. Everyone order the abelskiver except Ron. He had eggs, bacon and hash browns. Jenny really loved the abelskiver. You get 3 in an order and she ate 2. After breakfast we walked around for a little bit. Katie really liked the big wooden shoe. She didn't want to get out. After the really big shoe it was a walk to the bakery. Bread and apple strudel to go and off to Monterey. Jenny was so excited to ride in the cab with Grandpa. The motor home has air seats. So Ron filled up so she could she out the window. I think she stayed up there for 2 hours just visiting with Grandpa. Oh the memories she will have.

We arrived in Monterey around 4:00. Nick was home waiting for us.

That night was just chilling out with Nick, Lindsay , Dave & Ann. A fire in the back yard and pizza for dinner. That is the nice thing about Monterey, it is always cold enough at night for a fire in the back yard. Light out at 9:00. We have Nick's graduation at 8:00 AM.
