Falsely Accused

Today I was accused of being politically incorrect by Sterling who over heard a conversation between myself and Connie. I walked into Connie's office with an e-mail in my hand. I said "I just got the e-mail about about the 2 little White kids." Sterling (his office is right next to Connie's) Yells from his office, "somebody is being politically incorrect." Connie is busting up laughing at this point. I said "It is no more incorrect than saying I just got the e-mail about the 2 little Maroney kids." Sterling said, "Oh so white is their name". Oh course White is their name. Then I told him the funny thing is that they are pacific islander so white doesn't even fit. He needs to quite jumping to conclusions. Not everyone is racist. I am not racist, just prejudice. I cannot stand STUPID people.

I have spent a lot of time this week dealing with stupid people. I received a green sheet (sped transportation request) by fax Friday afternoon. It was faxed at 2:55. The form was filled out May 29th. The school did not send it until the last minute. So it was in my pile of 130 plus green sheets of routed this week. Today when we were calling to give the parents the busing info we could not reach either parent. Sue finally got a hold of the Aunt. She was an emergency contact. Seems the family has moved and the little boy never attended CUSD schools. So I called the school to confirm. Indeed the student was never registered. So why was the form faxed? I deal with stupid people.

Ugh. I hate stupid people as well. I deal with faculty members who tend to screw up... and the worst ones are the ones with PhDs because they think they know everything. I received an email from a PhD who is contesting a review I did on her class. I understand where they are coming from, but to me their "defense" doesn't hold up. After all, I am the expert reviewing their class. I represent their employer... to me, they can contest all the want, but what I think it comes down to is just laziness.

Just needed to vent, I guess.
