They say patience is a virtue. We all know that impatience is a flower. I am a flower. I am working on the Christmas log cabin quilt. I'm using the Eleanor Burns "Quilt in a day" method. It has you make the block assembly line style. All the center strips, then all the 1st light, then all the 1st dark and so on. When you finish the last row of dark you have all the blocks completed. Unfortunately you don't get to see the final block results until they are all done. I am one of those people who sometimes reads the last chapter of a book first to make sure my favorite character does not die. So today I skipped to the last chapter and finished on of the blocks, Just because I could not wait. So here is a sneak preview.
You guys are missing out. You see I know who this is for, and to me that makes it that much more exciting. When I make something for someone I tend to think of them while I am sewing. It makes it twice as much fun. Oh if you only knew.

Oooh, ooh, pick me, pick me! I know too :) I feel special. Like when I knew Ashley's announcement was going to be a bow site
One day, I vow to learn this from you, haha. Gonna have to save up a lot of money first, because I anticipate a lot mistakes... possibly catching the fabric and the machine on fire somehow...
Lindsay you crack me up. I don't know how you would catch the machine and fabric on fire. Well maybe if you set it up on the stove.
You overestimate my sewing abilities, haha.
