Can't Believe It

I really thought I blogged yesterday. Today was my family birthday party. All my Arizona kids were here along with my Mom and Bob. We had such a nice time. The kids all got here between 2:30 and 3:00 and the grand kiddos went swimming. The finished up the water adventures playing water balloons with Grandpa in the back yard. My girls made dinner. We had a crab pot dinner (shrimp, crab, sausage, corn on the cob & red potatoes) and grilled steak. I made my cake. I love the chocolate cake at Macaroni Grill, so I found a copy cat recipe and made my own. It was really close and quite yummy. I had the diet version (Katie and Abigail helped me eat mine to I only got about 1/4 on what was on my plate). I got some really great gifts. Dustin and Sarah always give me a Gnome for my garden. This years is a gnome standing an arched door. I got a subscription to a quilting magazine from Kristi and Cliff. Lori and Justin gave me the movie "50 first dates" because it said 50 and a really pretty leaf bowl. Ashley and Zach gave me a table runner for the buffet that Ashley made (I'll post pictures of everything at a later date). My Mother gave me family pictures. Ones of my Dad and his brothers when they were young, and then one of each of them and my Grandpa T in their military uniforms.  I'll post those as well later. My sweet hubby got us tickets to see Phantom. We are going Friday October 30th. He got really great seats, 17th row dead center. We have seen Phantom 4 or 5 times and love it. Best part is we get to spend time together. So far being 50 is pretty great.
