Caught in the Act

We have had bus overloads since the beginning of the school year. It is normal. The Jr High and High school buses are quite full until sports start up. Then the number drop. We sports started and we were down to one overloaded bus. 56 is 2 to a seat which is secondary school perfect. However you can sit 3 to a seat especially if you put 3 skinny girls together. So we were left with one AJHS overload. The driver was sending 25 students to the overflow bus. It just didn't make since especially if you know the driver. So this afternoon Connie (my boss) and I took a field trip to AJHS to check it out. Connie was on the route bus and I was on the overload bus. Turns out when you add up the numbers from both buses it was 58 students. Busted!! So starting tomorrow no overload bus. The driver was really ticked. Not sure if that is because she has to take all the students or because she got caught. Anyway no more overloads.
