A new project

Last week I asked Kristi if she wanted me to make her a quilt for her birthday. You see her bedspread is falling apart. She turned down the offer. She just ordered a new bedspread with Christmas money they got from Cliff's parents and grandparents. Jenny just happened to be in the room and she "I want a quilt for my birthday Grandma." So I got her my newest quilt book to look through. Kristi told her to just look at the patterns, because she could pick out any colors she wanted. So after looking through the book she picked out a pattern. Then she told me what colors she wanted. She was on the page with the block pattern. She changed every color but the yellow. Then we turned to the page with a picture of the finished quilt. In the center white spaced made when the blocks are assembled she wants Disney Princesses. So I told her we would go to the fabric today and get fabric. She has reminded me every time we saw each other. Last night at dinner she asked me what time I would come and get her today. So we had a 10:00 date. We spent about an hour at Joann's. We had such a good time picking out fabric. We got a light and a dark of pink, green, blue, purple. We also got yellow and a Disney print to cut out 4 inch squares of Belle, Cinderella, Snow White, and Sleeping beauty. I need to get busy she turns 6 on February 19th. I'll post pictures of my progress.
