monkey in the middle

I am so glad it is the week-end. I had one of those weeks. I kept getting caught between my boss and the district director over special ed. Hence "monkey in the middle". My life would have been a whole lot better if they would have just picked up the phone and yelled at each other. But the week-end started off on a fun note. Benjamin and Curtis came over Friday afternoon to spend the night. They are my movie boys. We started out with all 4 of us in the family room watching old speed racer videos. After that it was disagreement on what to watch. Benjamin wanted Cars an Curtis wanted Toy story 2. That was the problem, Benjamin is afraid of Zurg. But Curtis solved the problem, he decided he wanted to watch his movie on my bed, and Benjamin could watch Cars in the family room. Curtis' favorite place to watch movies is on my bed. After movie time we had dinner. French fries, chicken nuggets and PBJ's. Can you tell who picked the menu? Tub toys and bath time went off with out a hitch. Then it was jammies, stories, scriptures and prayers. After which Curtis thought we should have Family Home Evening instead of going to bed. Grandma won that round. The boys brought their new sleeping bags. I was already to lay them out on my bedroom floor, but Benjamin decided he wanted to sleep in the pantry. I guess he wanted food close by for a midnight snack. Curtis slept in our room. On the floor (not his 1st choice, that was our bed). They were both out before 8:30. Today we are all going to Jenny's house for her Birthday Ball. It should be quite the party. I'll keep you posted.
