New Traditions

Thanksgiving this year was a little smaller than usual. Dustin & Sarah had Thanksgiving with Sarah's sister and her family. So it was just the girls. We had a very nice dinner at 1:00. All the usual suspects, turkey, gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, fruit salad, yams, corn, green beans, veggie tray, fruit tray, and rolls. This year I also included red cabbage and creamed pearl onion.

But our new tradition has more to do with Christmas than Thanksgiving. Last year we bought and artificial tree, so begins the new tradition. Thanksgiving morning I set up the tree with the help of Ashley & Zach. After dinner we decorated the tree. Well the little girls did most of the decorating. Jenny, Katie and Madie really decorated the bottom 1/3 of the tree. Lori hung the glass ornament up high. Kristi and Ashley help even out the ornament. Cliff and Zach help the little girls go up and down the step ladder.

I finished decorating the house yesterday. So it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas around our house.

One of 30 plus nativities around the house.

The stocking are hung by the chimney with care.

A new wreath Lori made me for my birthday. I love the little nativity in the center.

The tree.
