We have married off our baby girl. Lori and Justin were sealed for time and all eternity Saturday morning at 9:45. There was 40 people in attendance at the sealing. Kristi & Cliff, Dustin & Sarah, Ashley & Zach, Ron' parents, my Mom & Bob, Connie & Dennis, Chris & Wendi, Jack & Patty, Ruth (Randy had to work) and the Lawrence's all came to support Lori. Justin had just about the same number of family members there. The photographer met us at the Temple early, and took pictures of Lori & Justin before the sealing. Afterwards there were a few group photos with Lindsay and all the grand kids joining in. Susie & Mike were a great help. They brought the motor home to the Temple and watched the kids during the sealing.
Justin's parents hosted a family luncheon at 12:00. Most everyone from the from the Temple went to the luncheon. Justin's dad gave a nice speech thanking everyone for joining us for the special day. He asked Lori and Justin if they had anything to say. Lori being her classic self said "Can we eat now?" That's my girl.
The reception was packed. There must have been several hundred people there. I got to the reception hall around 4:30 just as the subs were delivered. While I was cut them and arranging them on platters Roy & Kerry showed up to help. They sliced and stacked for quite some time. Randi Sue got there with the cake about 5:30. The cake was beautiful and very moist. A little before 6:00 I was getting very worried. I had lined people up from church to work in the kitchen and not a one of them showed up. So a few minutes before the reception was suppose to start I went to my sister and said "I have a problem." Well with sisters like mine it was not a problem. They stepped in and took care of everything. I can't thank them enough. They are always there when the chips are down. I guess that's why my family is so important to me. They are the ones I can always count on.
If you want a small sample of the days events the photographer has posted a few pictures on her blog. The first one is my favorite. It is Justin and Lori at the end of their first dance as husband and wife. Justine caught the dip at the end in classic style.
