Grand Tea Party

Thursday the 18th we received the following e-mail:

Dear Grandma, Grandpa, and Auntie Lori,
Please bring your fancy clothes and hats to a tea party at my house tonight at 5:30pm. We will be serving dinner and treats. Please also bring some regular clothes for water balloon fun and feeding the birds after the tea party.
i love you

jenny

So we dresses for the party. Arrived at 5:30 to have the door answered by a very excited Jenny. We all wore hats over to the party only to find out that Jenny had hats for us to wear. So we switched hats. Well not Ron, his hat was to fun to switch out of.

We danced to music in the living room while Kristi finished dinner. Jenny had the stereo ready to go. We held on to each others scarves and danced in circles. Ron held Katie who thought it was the grandest of events. She just laughed and laughed.

When dinner was ready we all sat at the table. Jenny made place cards for everyone and decorated the table with flowers cupcakes and seashells. Dinner was breakfast. Waffles with strawberries and whipped cream, bacon, and hash browns. I think Jenny ate 2 cups of hash browns. They were her favorite. She kept commenting on how good they were, and could you pass the potatoes.

After dinner we changed our clothes and went out back while Kristi filled water ballons. Kristi said don't worry you won't get wet. Jenny likes to throw the balloons at the wall. That was until Grandpa stepped in to show her how you use water balloons. Apparently you throw them at the Grandpa.

Our last activity was feeding the birds. This takes place in the front yard. We took an old loaf of bread and Lori and I tore ours slices in small pieces and threw it on the lawn. Jenny took to pieces of bread, put grass in between them and made a bird sandwich. She spoils the birds so.

All in all it was a GRAND adventure.
