Wow this month went by so fast. Since I last posted I have been to 2 Nitro Jam races with Ron. The season is off to a good start. The car is running great and Ron has 4 more trophies for the monster closet. Hopefully things will go as well in 2 weeks when we go to Baton Rouge.
We went to Casa Grande for baby Samuel's blessing on Easter Sunday. He looks so sweet in his blessing outfit. I love the tie. It was a busy day with lots of family. Lori and Justin were here from Sacramento. My Mom and Bob came down, and so did Ron's parents. Of course Kristi was there with her family, and even Ashley was able to go with her little family.
I finally got the April BOM done. It was English paper piecing. The first block is a simple 2 rows of hex in multi red prints. I think it came out pretty good. For the second block Amy issued a challenge to come up with a block that fit the theme of your own quilt. Well since my quilt is red, white and blue I had to go patriotic.
So I went with stars and strips. The line of white and the top and the side are in the seam allowance. So when the quilt is assembled it won't show. I am so glad the April blocks are finished. May should be so much more fun. The title is "wonky log cabin". I love log cabin quilts. They are fun and super fast and easy. Well all my BOM friends can't waot to see your blocks.
